It is difficult to guarantee how long a swimsuit will last since many factors can affect its longevity. Water temperature, pool maintenance products, sun, sweat and sunscreen can all accelerate the breakdown of spandex (or Lycra) fibres.
About our soap
Did you know that...
Chlorine and bromine used in pools are distributed through jets during swimming hours, and can break the elastic fibres of your swimsuit. Sea salt, sweat and sunscreen are also harmful to your swimsuit’s elasticity.
What can you do?
Always rinse yourself immediately after leaving a pool, spa or other swimming area. Within an hour following your swim, soak your swimsuit in water and soap especially created to remove any accumulated chlorine, bromine, salt, perspiration, etc. NEVER put your swimsuit in the washer or dryer.
Your swimsuit should dry flat, away from sun rays which could fade it. Coordinates made from swimsuit materials should also be treated with the same care if they have come into contact with chlorinated water or salt water.
We recommend you avoid wearing all other clothing in the ocean or pool, since non-swimsuit materials have not necessarily been tested for such use.
